Course Objectives

Acquire knowledge of the structure, analysis and construction of digital systems and components used in these systems, and develop skills in using simulation tools.

Course Description

2 ECTS – Boolean algebra

Combinatorics, bi-stable circuits, circuit families, analogue-digital/digital-analogue conversion, sequential circuits, numerators, shift registers, memories, multiplexers (MUX) and demultiplexers (DMUX) and MSI/LSI.

Learning Methods

Lectures, laboratory group work, circuitry simulation, written exercises.

Assessment Methods

40% continuous assessment, 60% written final examination.
