Course Objectives

Students will learn the fundamental methods and techniques for generating, structuring, basic analysis and presentation of digital geographical data.

Course Description

Reference systems, transformations, geometry models, programmes and equipment, data-collection methods, data-exchange, basic analyses, presentation and quality control.

Learning Methods

6-8 hours lectures/exercises per week during the autumn semester.

Assessment Methods

Obligatory group home-assignment(s), and individual, written 4-hour final examination. The home assignment(s) count for 40 %, and the final examination counts 60 %. The obligatory home-assignment(s) must be submitted and approved within the deadline before students will be permitted to sit the final examination. Students must receive passing marks on all parts of the assessment.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
